Car polishing is an essential part of professional car care. A shiny car on the outside, a spotless dashboard on the inside... We don't need to tell you what a joy it is. The foundations of car polishing
As mentioned in our previous article, the key is regularity. Dust and dirt trap moisture, which can have a negative effect for a long time. The corrosion process starts, which causes the paint to tarnish, which can result in rust stains.
To avoid this, clean your car regularly and don't waste your money on good quality supplies, because they're worth the money.
The ideal temperature for car washing is 15-20°C and it is important to find a shady place. Scorching sunlight accelerates drying, which can leave traces of scale.
What you need to set the foundation for car polishing:
- on sponges,
- a jet of water,
- for car shampoo,
- for rim and glass cleaners,
- microfibre cloths (yes, more than one),
- then the car polishing is fitted
- and wax.
Once everything is in place, let's see the steps:
Preparation for car polishing #1: Pre-wash - contact-free washing
Use a water jet to rinse the whole car, removing surface dirt. Don't forget the wheels. An important step is to wash the undercarriage, but this is often only possible under car wash conditions.

Find out before you buy a rim cleaner! Make sure you don't get any on the paintwork, as it can easily rub off the wax that has been previously applied.
Car polish preparation #3: Car shampoo - touch wash
Don't regret buying a good quality car shampoo, you will see the difference. Working from the top down, clean your car with sponges. Don't press too hard, as there may still be dust particles on the surface of the car that will lead straight to deep scratches. Rinse the sponge often!
Car polishing preparation #4: Rinsing, drying, glass cleaning
Rinse the car with another jet of water, then wipe dry with a microfibre cloth. Be careful not to leave a water droplet, so that the car doesn't get stained with limescale! Have several cloths handy and change them! If you accidentally drop one, reach for another, as it's important not to get dust on the surface of the car. Clean the glass surfaces too!
Car polishing, waxing
To restore your car to its original shine, it needs polishing. The right equipment is essential for car polishing. It can be done without a polisher, but you'll have to be prepared for a good muscle cramp the next day. To save yourself from this, choose our multiphase car polishing service!
There are basically two types of car polishing:
- glossy auto polishing,
- full (multi-phase) auto-polishing.
The difference between the two is that polishing to remove minor scratches and give your car a beautiful shine. And a full car polish will even remove deep scratches, so we can truly make your car new.
The latter, however, really requires such careful work and tools that more reasonable and much simpler to leave to experts. Why buy expensive equipment and waste your precious free time when you can leave it to others?
